ADULT DAYCARE SERVICES
Helping Those in Need
MIFADELO GLOBL has added new services to our health department. We added day care services because we have discovered that the loss of, or reduction in, day care services during the COVID-19 pandemic has been challenging for people who use the services, their families and care homes. These challenges include social isolation; disruption of important routines; loss of support with aspects of personal grooming; loss of key interactions with healthcare services; and a reduction in independence.
Our day care for adults involves planned activities for older or working age adults to support them with important aspects of social, health, nutrition and daily living. These support services are run by our organization with the help of our healthcare professionals and volunteers in non-residential settings (community centres).And it enables adults who have care needs, and/or who are at risk of social isolation, to engage in social and meaningful organised activities for the people who take part. The activities include social, leisure, entertainment, educational, mealtimes and refreshments, hairdressing by hair stylist, cutting nails by foot care professionals (chiropodist and a podiatrist)., advice and support with health issues by our healthcare professionals(doctors and nurses).
These services are for adults with different support and care needs. And the Specific groups include:
older people
people living with dementia
Adults with learning disability and/or autism, brain injury, and long-term health conditions
